Sridevi was there to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor’s cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi.According to sources, there are unexpected delays in forensic report thus, mortal remains of the actress will not reach India till late in the afternoon. The family had expressed a desire to keep Sridevi’s remains at Versova’s Bhagya bungalow for a couple of hours so that the visitors can have a chance to pay their tributes for a couple of hours before the funeral. If they follow through the plan, then funeral may delay for another day. The actress was to be cremated at Pawan Hans Crematorium grounds in Mumbai’s Vila Parle West today.

The legendry actress Sridevi popular as ‘lady Amitabh’ was readying herself for a dream date with her ‘one and only’ love Boney Kapoor in Dubai just before her demise stated a report of Khaleej Times. Sridevi was all excited for her dream date with her husband few minutes before she reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in Dubai, stated the reports.
As per the source close to Sridevi’s family, her hubby Boney, flew back from Mumbai and went to her room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel around 5:30 in the evening to “surprise” her with dinner.The reports further stated that he woke her up and the couple chatted for about 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner. Sridevi then went to the washroom. After 15 minutes passed and Sridevi did not come out, Kapoor knocked on the door to check on her. When he got no response, he forced open the door to find the legendary actor lying motionless in the bathtub full of water.
“He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9pm,” stated the reports of Khaleej Times.
Soon after learning this, the police and paramedics rushed to the spot, but unfortunately Sridevi was declared dead. After that Sridevi’s body was taken for an autopsy to the General Department of Forensic Medicine.
This unfortunate news of Sridevi’s death was confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor through a statement to leading daily. He said, “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.”

Sridevi was a doting mom to both her daughters Khushi and Janhvi. Earlier in an interview to a news agency, Sridevi called her daughter to be ‘sensible kids’.
She was very much concerned worried about her daughter and their career. Sridevi was earlier quoted saying, ‘’Luckily, they know their limits and they are very responsible children. When you have responsible children, half the battle is over. So, you don’t have to worry. But you are concerned. The concern will never go, and you’ll always be conscious about them.”
Janhvi is about to make her Bollywood debut with Dhadak and Sridevi earlier in an interview with TOI talked in depth about her daughter’s first film. Sridevi said, ‘’It is a great feeling. I am excited, nervous, happy and concerned, as any mother would be. But she is a very hard working and very dedicated girl.”Sridevi also accompanied her daughter Janhvi to her first shooting schedule in Udaipur, Rajasthan in December. She also posted series of pictures with her daughter on her Instagram. Sridevi was not just a strong lady but also a caring mom to her daughters. Her Instagram accounts were flooded with number of pictures with Khushi and Janhvi.
