NEW DELHI:PM Modi to address plenary session of India-ASEAN commemorative summit today.

The summit, which will focus on counter-terrorism, security, trade and connectivity, will be attended by all 10 ASEAN leaders who will also be chief guests in this year’s Republic Day parade.

The summit, which will focus on counter-terrorism, security, trade and connectivity, will be attended by all 10 ASEAN leaders who will also be chief guests in this year’s Republic Day parade.As per reports, the prime minister will hold a total of nine bilateral meetings with leaders of ASEAN countries on the sidelines of the summit.

A day ahead of the summit, PM Modi held separate bilateral meetings with leaders of three ASEAN nations – Myanmar, Vietnam and Philippines.Nine ASEAN leaders arrived here on Wednesday for the summit and only Indonesian President Joko Widodo would come on Thursday, the day of the summit.
