New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded campaigning for Gujarat polls in a unique way. PM Modi gave a boost to tourism by traveling from Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad to Dharoi Dam via a sea plane.
The crowds along the Sabarmati River front also developed by PM Modi when he was Chief Minister Of Gujarat were agog with curiosity. Their adulation was visible with chants of ‘Modi’, ‘Modi’ reverberating.
As the plane took to the skies the sight was indeed a magnificent one. After completing the journey to Dharoi Dam, Prime Minister took the road route to Ambaji. Crowds lined the route waving BJP flags waiting to catch a glimpse of PM Modi. PM then sought the blessings of Ma Amba at the renowned pilgrimage site.
Ma Amba is one of the 51 shakti peeths across the country. These are associated with legends revolving around Goddess Parvati and are considered to be sources of inner strength and wisdom.
Prime Minister performed the puja in keeping with defined norms and rituals. He also interacted with people in the temple premises.
After completing puja archana, PM Modi headed back to Dharoi dam to board the sea plane. Once again the crowds jostled to catch a glimpse of their leader and click pictures of him.
Prime Minister’s unique experiment aims at giving a fresh boost to waterways development and tourism in Gujarat and the entire country. PM Modi in a tweet said that effective use of waterways augurs well for tourism and more tourism will bring greater economic opportunities in the country.
